Not going Ko Samui

Still read the below post for any update, but just so you know, I have indeed decided to skip my flight tomorrow and just stay in BKK for the next few days. This is because the 10 day forecast for Ko Samui is non-stop thunder storms and rain, and I can’t be stuffed going there for just that!

I’ll contact the tailor tomottow and hurry them up on getting my suits ready, then call Thai Airways and see if they can’t get me back sooner. BKK as you all know is a good place to visit for a day or two, but I’d just as readily spend the last few days of my trip relaxing back home. I’ll update you all tomorrow. G’night! Love, j oxox

Commiserations Jess on the weather. I’m just picturing your face with a little twitch of relief as I think you have been adapting to SOOO many new situations lately, I know I would really need some slow down time after that.

Could you consider the time as a chance to complete the journal and submit it to Lonely Planet as someone earlier suggested! And those photos…. you’ll need time to negotiate a salon in the Melbourne Museum for the “Slide night”.

Anyway, it’ll be great to see the new you. We can’t wait. Take care at the airports won’t you. Let me know when to come and get you as I am not working anymore for the moment.

    All our love,

    Hi Jesse,

If you can’t get a flight for a couple of days maybe head up to Kanchanaburi. You know, ‘Bridge Over The River Kwai’, death march cemetaries, temples, waterfalls…. a little touristy, but not too far from Bangkok.

    Have loved your entire trip.

    Thanks.

    Marmon.

Hey Marmon, thanks for the suggestion. Glad you’ve been reading along and enjoying it; pls say hi to everyone in the office from me! Last time I came to Thailand, that was on of the places we stopped on our way south to Malaysia. Was interesting to see except that, we had a historian of sorts with us who revealed how the local “museum” had lots of manufactured exhibits which couldn’t possibly have been from the actual time. Was a bit of a laugh!

    Hi Mum,
I’m all set now to come back early. See newest post. Good to hear you’ve finished up at that place!

    Cheers all, j
